Beverly Hills Porsche Loves Rock and Roll!
The Wrecking Crew Screening at Saban Thearte |
The Wrecking Crew was a nickname coined by drummer Hal Blaine for a group of session musicians in Los Angeles, California, who played anonymously on many records in the 1960s. They backed dozens of popular singers, and were one of the most successful groups of studio musicians in music history.
Beverly Hills Porsche was proud and honored to sponsor a very special screening of the movie at the historic Saban Theatre directly across from the Porsche showroom.
In attendance was a who's-who of the music business including members of the Wrecking Crew.
Drumming legend Hal Blaine was honored by the film's director/producer/writer Mr. Denny Tedesco with a touching tribute and drum line introduction. Music icons Herb Alpert, Lou Adler and Jerry Moss presented Hal with a commemorative set of his six consecutive Grammy winning "Records of the Year".
